I don't know why I started thinking about this, but I've been to some live shows where the artist or band has opened with exactly the right song.
The Who - Can't Explain Rolling Stones - Twenty Flight Rock Aerosmith - Back in the Saddle
What about you?

Neil Young and Crazy Horse come immediately to mind - 2001, La Coruña. Spain. The band walk on, huddle REALLY close together, and storm through 'Don't Cry No Tears'. Pure magic. The rest of the (two plus hour) gig didn't really add anything for me.

Love how the lead and drummer are in constant, flailing chaos and the other guy seems to be on a much calmer planet..
