I love them, it's kinda makes you think about what happened, or what would happen. It makes the viewer work a little. I was watching 3 billboards in .....and it ends in unresolved ending in terms of the murder and the purpose of the billboards, but ends in the redemption of sorts and the mother looking for unrelated revenge. If there was no 2nd french connection, i would have been happy with the ending of the first one. It would just feed in and typify popeye's relentlessness to catch "the frog".
You like open ended film endings?

Maybe, but I couldn't give a definite answer, I'll leave it a bit vague.

I see less of 'em these days. maybe audiences are less tolerant and want a nice resolution.
Life doesn't always have resolutions and neither do films.
I like being left with questions.

That said you do sometimes get open endings that are unsatisfying because you feel they didn't know how to end it and just copped out. I sometimes think we place too much importance on endings. After all if you really enjoy the journey, should the final destination matter so much? That said, the ending is usually fairly important in how much I rate a film.
