Saturday was this with my son. Skinner's Butte. A hill park right in the middle of downtown.  And this on Sunday. River walk along the Willamette. 5 miles.  |

We had a long weekend holiday here in Brisbane for the Queen's Birthday, and my eldest daughter (almost 18) and i went through all of my CDs to put them into alphabetical order in the racks.
Over the last year or so i've been pleasantly surprised to find that she has graduated from just listening to chart/pop stuff like Harry Styles or Shawn Mendes, and has started delving into rock past through Spotify. She's been going through my CDs and vinyls for a few months now, asking about stuff and enthusing about stuff she likes, and suggested we do the alphabetising so i said sure. It took most of the Saturday (i have a fricking lot of stuff, natch, and a lot she isn't that into, but hope she still grow into), but we had a lotta fun talking about the first 2 Strokes albms, Oasis, Nirvana and Supergrass, how much we dislike Bon Jovi (one of my wife's discs, :lol: ), the best Cure and Blur songs, even Lana Del Rey.
One of the best days i've had in a fucking long time.

My nephew's big into the Strokes now (he's 20 in August) but he will NOT listen to the debut - which of course is the best! he goes nuts for the last album and every time we meet we'll both fight our corner and neither will give in. Strange how generational divides can be so silly...

A guy just pulled me up in a petrol station to talk about my shoes. Apparently he's a big Brooks fan, and told me about he also has a pair of Brooks, ones that weren't on the shelf and everything!
I dont do small talk well, and this was the smallest of talk. I handled myself okay though.

I live in an estate of around 20 or more houses. When it comes to cutting grass, it's a monkey fucking see, monkey fucking do. Once one cunt starts at least 5 more people think "You know what, i think i'll cut my grass two". So we get a full fucking day of loud lawnmowers with one cunt this morning starting at 9:30. Fuck off.
