I've just had two good days in a row of not-spending-as-much-money-as-I-thought-I-was-going-to-have-to.
Took my car in yesterday for its annual state inspection. I could swear I was told several months ago that there were some fairly expensive repairs that would be needed before it would pass, but in fact all I needed was new wiper blades and one new tire. (Next year when the emissions inspection is due might be a different story.)
And I finally got someone to come in and look at the air conditioning in my house, after suffering without for a couple of weeks. I was imagining the worst and wondering which arm and/or leg it was going to cost me, but all he did (after having a look at both the inside and outside units) was remove some unnecessary AA batteries from the wall thermostat and now it's working fine. That cost me $85 but I'm happy.

Why is Will smith and his family, over the past 2 or so years, telling the world about every little problem them have? Do we really give a fuck? I don't. The kids epitomize the most indulged Hollywood kids on the planet. I think the boy, Jaden, is a decent actor, or was as a kid actor, but they seem to have all this money and all they know how to do is hold their dicks in their hands.

I have a major leak under my floorboards so I have no hot water and the man can't look at it till next Monday. Thrilled In other news I was signed off 3 weeks ago after some shite at work kicked off and my psychologist said I was suffering from minor depression and the two, amongst other things collided and I had a mental health "incident", as the lass calls it. The day after this the lass also lost her job sadly so it was a bit of a double whammy. Anyway, the next couple of weeks were a bit weird - you when you feel that loss of control? Like you are being pulled into the darkness and there's nothing you can do - but I feel that moment has passed and in the last week or so I have started laughing again and listening to music and actually enjoying it rather than staring out the window like a zombie. Still feel rather listless and I'm clumsy as fuck at the mo but feel on the mend thankfully. Coulda done without this fucking leak mind. Sorry to hear this. I had a major fight with my son last week, and I'm not going to go into details, but it was one of the first times that I didn't want to listen to music. I didn't really feel like playing my guitar either, but kinda forced myself to. It's been a week or so since it happened and it's better, but it was weird. Did you see the job thing coming or was it a surprise to you?

I've got a little home gym going in my apartment. I got a rowing machine for $100 and tried it out this morning for the first time, after I rode the stationary bike. It was only $200.

The lass knew her job was at risk so it's not a total shock but she loved the job and had struggled for a long time to find a job she liked. It's a blow for her but she'll get something, fingers crossed.

I just read article in this morning's paper that methane emissions are reaching dangerous highs.
And hereI thought it was just the smell of Griff's Facebook posts wafting through the computer.
