I don't know, Craig is a handsome bastard, but he also looks like he has been in a scrap or two. Connery had the same look i reckon. The like of Moore, Bronson and Dalton looked too english gentlemanly. Hardy is too pretty, i think Craig changed the game in this regard, and they should look for someone with the same look. Craig has only two expressions. He has that funny pout thing and his "is this how you smile" er, smile. His eyes are expressionless almost totally vacant. A shouty London Bond would be better than the Hardy mumble. "You can tell smursh to fack off. Fancy a quick bunk up Moneypenny." Get Michael Caine as M and Babs Windsor as an evil leader of a secret society of pub landladies called WALLOP. Bond could be stalked by his younger brother played by Danny Dyer who has a grudge because he had to go to a comprehensive school while James got it all after swapping their eleven plus papers.

"Oi Blofeld, shut it you slag! You are doin m'nut in"
"Alright treacle, fancy a bitta slap and tickle? Course you do, lovely"
"Martini? do me a favour, jager and redbull, sharpish"

I’ll check out ‘The Drop’. My wheelhouse.
Just read T T S S, so I’ll watch the film again, but I’d rather watching the Alec Guinness series.

I looked up his filmography. I haven’t seen a single thing he’s been in.

He's a very talented actor, who, perhaps, hasn't yet taken on the kind of roles that make a big cultural impact in the way, say, Day-Lewis did. I guess we will see over the next ten years whether he has that in him.

He made an impression from his first film, My Beautiful Launderette. I don't think Hardy's roles burn with that intensity even with Mad Max.

He's fantastic in that.

I think he's basically acting the same for different characters. Getting a bit bored of him.

I started watching it and lasted 4 or 5 episodes. I thought the actors were good, but the story didn't excite me. One too many gangster series I think. I tried re-watching Boardwalk Empire too and the same thing happened.
