The issue is that right now Labour are not a credible electoral force - I mean, beyond Starmer and Rayner who could you name? Do you even know who the Shadow Chancellor is? I honestly don't think that matters. The days when politicians were around as high profile figures for 20 years seems to have gone. Even if you look at the current cabinet, how many people knew much about Gavin Williamson or Matt Hancock say before they took up their current positions.

To answer the original question, I think people are burned out on politics - burned out on Brexit, burned out with Covid and lockdown, too burned out to be angry or even care. But that will pass.

You were all falling over yourselves to praise SIR Keir Starmer just months ago! What a fucking dead loss HE turned out to be!

Seriously though, what can he do? Even if he came out with some fantastic policy innovation, it would get very little coverage with Covid dominating the news agenda. I don't think he can make any serious impact on Johnson's lead until all this is over, that'll be the time to judge him.

I'm not saying he's been great, but realistically what do you expect him to do? Show some personality! This is his reaction to the latest death statistics: This is a national tragedy and a terrible reminder of all that we have lost as a country.
We must never become numb to these numbers or treat them as just statistics. Every death is a loved one, a friend, a neighbour, a partner or a colleague. It is an empty chair at the dinner table.
To all those that are mourning, we must promise to learn the lessons of what went wrong and build a more resilient country. That day will come and we will get there together.
But for now we must remember those that we have lost and be vigilant in the national effort to stay at home, protect our NHS and vaccinate Britain.A ROBOT could put something more feeling together! It's nothing but a collection of standard responses, taken from a book on dealing with loss. Absolutely fucking useless.

Don't be silly -what a ridiculous thing to judge him harshly on. I bet you can't come up with anything better. Go on I challenge you..

That's not the point. We should expect more from him. If I (or you or anybody) could do better then he shouldn't be in that position.
He's a deadbeat. At least Corbyn had clear principles, ideals he'd fought for all his adult life. Starmer is a sack of wind in a suit.
I warned you!

Get back to me when you have something substantial to say.
