I scan the listings most mornings and make a list of what's good on TV that evening. Half the time I don't watch anything, but there's usually something on.
So I'll update this thread most days, especially when there's something worth catching. And you might want to add your thoughts if you see anything that's mentioned.
UK only, sorry. And I'll leave the NETFLIX-y stuff for other threads.
TONIGHT!
The Royle Family (BBC 1 - 9.30 pm) - one of the best episodes, featuring the first appearance of Nana (Liz Smith)
The Graham Norton Show (BBC 1 - 10.45 pm) - I can't stand the fucker but I think tonight's might be worth a watch because you've got the lovely Tina Fey and the lovely Nigella Lawson and the lovely Dua Lipa
and my TV HIGHLIGHT for tonight:
Birth of the Cool (BBC 4 - 10.35 pm) - the Miles Davis doc which NETFLIX are debuting next week. Nice to see the boring old terrestrial channel beating them with this one. I think it's the first time on British TV, and I've read good things.
and the Dylan doc No Direction Home is on Sky Arts at 11.15 pm if you're interested in that.
Happy viewing!

You are as mad as a box of frogs! One of your most endearing traits. Will be interesting to see how many times BBC four and Sky arts are the highlight.

TODAY!
Brief Encounter (BBC 2 - 4.50 pm) - one of the finest British films, not a damned thing wrong with it
Fela Kuti: Father of Afrobeat (BBC 2 - 9.30 pm) - think this is new
and my TV HIGHLIGHT for tonight:
Nick Mason: Saucerful of Secrets (Sky Arts - 10.00 pm) - concert film (I think) - not entirely sure if they'll be able to pull this one off more than half a century after most of these songs were first performed and with a band containing Gary 'Simpkins' Kemp, but reports of the gigs were good

Flog it! My John recommends evening in tatters. Why does Paul Martin talk to everyone like they're six years old?

Flog it! My John recommends evening in tatters. His TV guide is becoming very unreliable. I think he's getting distracted by the pleasures of French Connections online jackets.
