Funny and scary. If you put down your mobile on the table in front of you, just mention things like ' Bed', 'Car' or 'Sneakers' out loud or some such words. Chances are if you then go to some add heavy site, these are the things that will be popping up.
We tried it and it worked but I am not sure if it always works. Will try again some time.

That's part of the reason i'm not getting an Alexa, fuck that listening, watching predicting shite. I wouldn't say no to a chance to throw this Alexa a line though. Ahhhhhh the harsh 'In your dreams" would be worth it.

My daughter swears this happens, typically when she's with friends and they're mixing real conversation with whatever it is they do on their smartphones. The ads appear in near-real time, apparently.

Youtube has ads? I've never seen one.
They're embedded into the video a lot of the time. Adblock must knock them out before they start. I've genuinely never seen one.

snowgoose hampers, which apparently in Australia are gift baskets of fruit, wine, chocolate, etc., similar to Harry and David in the US (and probably better). But NOT a clothes or diaper service or a hamper for your dirty clothes to be washed.

Currently, an auction from Bolling Myron(?) for elaborate horse drawn carriages and sleds of the 1800s, early 1900s.

Today, on this forum, two box text ads that say, "Please Practice Social Distancing." Not too hard to do on an online music forum.

I love when I can't even tell what the ad is for.
