"SJC" and "RICB#9" are both practically perfect. Forced to choose, I choose "SJC".
"SIFMY" is... pleasant.

"Since I First Met You" puts me back to being a very young kid, so I'm voting for that one.

Smoky Joe's Cafe and Riot are very familiar, but I never heard this band take on a doo-wop style ballad with piano triplet accompaniment before. Interesting stuff, but literally undistinguished - for this sort of thing to ascend to doo-wop heaven you really need a better lead vocalist or a better song. Which brings us to the other two, early gems from Leiber and Stoller, and perhaps the best examples of their brilliance in creating a whole mise en scene and telling a story within it with humour and grace, and doing it all in three minutes or less. Ultimately, I think the stop-rhythm borrowed from Muddy Waters and the characterizations of the crims makes Riot the winner here, although ultimately Bobby Nunn and Carl Gardner would go on to top their work on these with The Coasters.
