thanks for the candid description of what it's like within the NOC inner-sanctum, sloop. normally their JUs are clandestine events. just a couple of questions, is it true that southerners who attend them have to go through the initiation ceremony of being force-fed mushy peas and finally, was this the first time you met minx or was the JU after her 'strictly' meltdown? I've heard they are forced to listen to London 0 Hull 4 by The Housemartins. To think of the levels of depravity some people sink to, Skope. Beggars the mind. I can't even hint at the things I've heard Carol gets up to. (PM me)

I should say one of the reason I let Matthew talk about the Dead so long is he's a heck of a nice guy. I would have rather talked to him about his rock climbing.

That jolly up sounds like Sloop's Curb moment.
The line about the singalong killed me.
We've all been there.

I want it on the record that I was very appreciateive of Yomp/Mikel coming. I just wish I'd been able to talk to him about music because I find his views and perspectives interesting.

And then Bryan led everyone in some Northern sing-along and I knew the night had jumped the shark. Mick was passed out by then, which by looking at JU photos, seemed to be SOP. can you remember whether this was the song that bry led the NOC to sing-a-long to?

It was 15-20 drunken voices singing in all ranges of melodies and states of inebriation.
