write it all in 2nd person, at least that way it will be considered novel I am not a huge fan of that, it’s like the writer is talking to himself by using the second person?

If you haven't already started writing, I would suggest you do that immediately. Just put down all your memories, anecdotes, etc. without even thinking of it as a book - just get it all down where you can actually read it all, rather than just think about it. While I'm not promising anything, I suspect that if you do that, the material itself will give you some idea of how (or if) it wants to be shaped.

Exactly. Write it and it will tell you where it wants to go. Mine usually want to go in a drawer.

I am not a huge fan of that, it’s like the writer is talking to himself by using the second person? Yes, like an inner voice. The one I, but I suspect most people, use when you're alone and doing something. Say cooking. You're alone in the kitchen making an Aioli. At some time you may find yourself saying in yourself, 'allright, oil in, garlic in, salt in, I'm going to put the egg yolk in'

The second person is 'you' Yes but it often reads as if I was meant. I can't think of an example now but say like in 'How soon is now' ............ So you go and you stand on your own And you leave on your own And you go home and you cry And you want to die Obviously it's about 'I' that's adressed as 'you' to make it sound ( a tiny bit less) maudlin.

Don't bother doing that. Stick to first or third.

Will there be any recipes or need for condiments? Yes but strictly according to the classic Spanish kitchen of Manuel.
