^ That looks great! Another thing I have to watch later – it’s going to be a late night. I’ve read about the Process in various books on related subjects, but there doesn’t seem to be much about them in particular. Thanks for posting, G.

No they stream whatever the hell they want. It's based out of Los Angeles and they run films starting at 7:30 Pacific time and running through the morning. Then some of the films get repeated the next day. They take weekends off. You can follow them here and they announce what the schedule if a couple of hours before showtime. www.instagram.com/cathodecinema/

They used to run film festivals in cinemas but since the pandemic they've taken their activity to Twitch which is great for people like us who aren't in LA.

Watched this the other day, a recent documentary on the mysterious 60s cult The Process. They've always had a sinister reputation, but not much is known on what they actually did and so it was interesting to hear from former members. Features interviews from Skope favourite Robert Irwin and George Clinton among others.
I really enjoyed it. So we know what they weren’t (responsible for the Manson killings) but it’s still difficult to say what they were. The way they kept changing doesn’t help – even the original symbol was altered it to make it look more Goffick. Which of course you could interpret as a capitulation to bourgeois values and conventional notions of devilry and Satanism. Maybe at heart they were just a gang of dog-lovers. It must have cost a fortune to ship all those dogs out to Mexico! Or maybe things were simpler in those days and they just shoved them in the baggage hold with a blanket and a bowl of Friskies.

This thread has slowed down a bit, which is a pity. Obviously what we need to get it going again is an obscure classic by the great Portuguese film-maker João César Monteiro. It’s the story of a tender pervert who runs an ice-cream shop and… stuff. With subtitles.

Definitely my new favourite thing. Get onto it, folks! it's wonderful. The one bad thing is that you spend as much time chatting in the sidebar as watching the films, so you're not really getting a FOCUSED EXPERIENCE. You might miss important scenes. But whatever. Some good folks and some great films. I just hope it stays up for a while - these free streaming sites tend to get pulled after a while.

I couldn't see a schedule.

There's a film showing all the time, G. It takes up most of the screen. The chat thing on the right is where you type/see the schedules.
Are you sure you've got the right site?
