The Who really should not have let Moon anywhere near a microphone - a really awful mistake.
I don't mind stuff like B's choice, but without the nihilist 'tude. Songs about killing people (if I'm interpreting it correctly) don't really turn me on unless they're done really well, and this one isn't. Still, it's a bit more exciting than that sub-par Who tune.

Both are slight.
B was mercifully short, but I wouldn't willingly expose myself to it a second time, so
Comfort zone and all that, I know, but it's still A

good matchup. Both tracks build up some steam but seem from the womb untimely ripped. while both songs could certainly use another trip to the drawing board A has the tremendous advantage of being the WHO and it seems like the WHO hit their prime straight out of the gate in a lot of ways. dynamite track!

Pretty weak matchup. Lesser Who vs. what sounds like Rage Against the Machine trying to cover Gang of Four. Picking a Who track is boring, though, so I'll give props to B for taking a risk.

An outtake from the awful Quad. Ooh, yummy.

More ugliness. I like the insistence.

I didn't hate the Who track, but now that I've heard it, I can't say I'll bother to listen ever again. 3.5 /10
Ooh, very post-punk. Bracing, indeed, but I tend to like this sort of thing more than most. Something about the shouty vocals reminded me of Anal Cunt and their ylk. Who needs tunes? 5/10

A funny Who choice. I mean there are better Ox tunes.
Still, B was crap

embarrassing that i only managed a 1 vote victory over one of the cup's minnows.
this was the first time i've ever gone full canon in the cup. while it brought me a win, i'm left with a hollow feeling. having said that, i was quite bemused by the lack of enthusiasm towards the song. it has a lovely entwhistle vocal and is something which wouldn't sound out of place on 'quadrophenia'.
anyway, i've learnt my lesson and have fortunately come away unscathed.

Embarrassing I lost to one of the worst tracks of the round, but hey, voting is voting..
