I must remember to buy the album if it has a physical release yet. The only one of her six 2020 albums with a current physical release available is 'Circuit City' (On Band Camp)..It's got more jazz overtones..The other five sold out..All available digitally.. I don't have Circuit City either, but I've heard that one a lot. The last track in particular is awesome, I considered it for the cup, but somehow didn't think it was a sure fire winner.

I had the first track from Circuit City on the shortlist, along with this one and what I went with, the Post Punk True Opera..Went all newer releases for this cup, so wanted to get the Mother Goddess in somewhere..

Man, i really like this tie. Both occupy corners of the Fange Wheelhouse and are both new to me. Tick and tick. A is a lovely relaxed trippy hip hop feel with some excellent varied vocals. B is progressive guitar rock with quite a groovy vibe and appealing sound.
Ok, i'm finding it too hard to separate them; so if i ask myself which one Loki would have picked, by guess would be B.

I listened to this twice, and failed to comprehend it all: I don't mean I couldn't parse the lyrics (although I couldn't, the usual trouble with my cocktail party syundrome), I just couldn't hear it, make any sense of it at all, it seemed random, sometimes pretty at others just adrift. This isn't just rhetoric, there's genuinely something wrong – I'm just too old for this shiznit, my mind and my life is slipping through my fingers. Soon as I finish this, I'll be googling Dignitas
As someone who is more or less permanently stoned, I found this easier to process. On the whole I prefer The Heads for this sort of thing – and I agree with Dayodead that it got a lot more interesting when it fell apart – but at least there was something familiar to clutch on to, a spar for a drowning man. Don't think I should vote this time, though I may return for another go.

B is the kind of thing that's more fun to play than to listen to, unless you're the drummer, in which case you'd probably be bored as hell either way. Ooh, he sped up to double time - what a lucky guy!
A is okay, and is the track here that I personally think would most be enjoyed with the help of some stonedness (even that couldn't rescue B for me).

Billy Woods
More Moor Mother. Not really moved, an ugly texture overall.
Baby Grandmothers
Fairly trad psych. I like the sound of it but it doesn’t need to be as long as it is without development.

This match was a chore, I found it hard to make it to the end of both songs.
B reminded me of my stoned youth and felt less offensive.

A isn't my thing.
B is. I had to look them up. Swedes having a go, and generally succeeding. Tempo changes, crazy guitar.

A doesn’t move me. It has unpleasant acid jazz stylings, or something. B is certainly different… yes, B

Both fabulous selections. This was a super tough one for me, which is the reason I didn't comment with my vote.

That was very noble of you not to vote for your own pick against mine, DF!

That was very noble of you not to vote for your own pick against mine, DF! If I'd known it was yours I'd have voted with multiple aliases ;-) I'm just not voting against any interesting picks against my own tracks. If it encourages more Swedish psychedelic rock in the future everyone wins ... I think. Possibly.
