Nothing wrong with the first track, but the second is a bouncy, fun little jaunt..Plus, it's always nice when Anohni has some enjoyment for once..Vote B(And I know who's track this is.. )

i quite enjoyed B, especially the instrumental part at the end. can't decide whether i like the singer's voice or not. interesting pick, but a shame it's been pitted against top-notch diddley.

A would be pretty generic Bo without the sax. With the sax it's...slightly less in my wheelhouse rather than more.
That said, B is firmly in the 'admire more than like' category for me.

Methinks my robot friend is going to need many more tries. Thankfully I won't be there.
The Bo Diddley track, well of course...
A
No contest.

I love Bo Diddley but that's kind of undistinguished. And the sax really doesn't help.
My Robot Friend - interesting, not at all keen on the vocal (Anohni is that dude who went by a different name and paired up with Lou Reed for some gigs, right?), but like the Devo-ish sounds.
Not wowed by this pairing but
A
takes it

Well, I'm not going to vote for anyone bringing out a bit of Bo Diddley, whether it's against one of my tracks or not. Just not bringing anything new to the table. I don't see the point.
And I think I've already mentioned that My Robot Friend album on here a few times, I think it's a fantastic, joyous, silly record, but I picked this one because of the vocals. There was a time when I used to look forward to seeing Antony (as was back then, pre-Anohni, Antony & The Johnsons) credited with guest vocals; her own debut was a massive overblown camp thing, and she used to be able to add such a wide range of texture and emotion. But it must be 10 years or so since I've wanted to hear anything she's released, it all seems so lifeless and joyless now, so monochrome. This track is just my attempt to bring something fairly modern, camp, and fun to the mix, and hope that Anohni will at sometime decide that artistry comes in all colours. A real talent, critically acclaimed and all. But she used to be so much beter in my view when there was joy involved, as here.

A is just kind of a dull pick here. B is not really any great shakes, but good enough to win.

The Bo Diddley is a great sounding thing, but it's not much of a song. B is a sprightly sounding thing. It has modest ambitions as a record, sort of not unlike something Yazoo might have released, but even more stripped down. I don't think I'd return to it that often, but it provides a fresher listen for me right now, so...B

Heresy, but I think the BD track is dull. How many times can you regurgitate a rudimentary riff?
B is ok. I don't think I'll ever listen to it again.

Reading in previous comments that Anhoni was involved in B, I anticipated a vote for A, but after listening I changed my mind. Not a bad Bo track (except changing chords and having a sax solo is getting dangerously close to prog for him) but I did enjoy B more. Nice pick.

B reminded me of Yaz or Yazoo, who I loved, a full bodied voice against echoey synths. Not brittle like usual synth sounds. Nice production touch that helps make the sound. Usually, I don't care about that kind of stuff, but it's so much apart of the song.
Bo Diddley is a favorite of mine, but I'll choose B for this one.

I want to like B more than I do - there's just something that isn't quite clicking for me. And Bo Diddley *is* a bit of a boring choice here.
But I still have to go with Bo.

I like My Robot Friend enough that it goes on my bottomless playlist. I like electro things that keep adding different little flourishes as it goes along. the vocal really rubs my Bryan Ferry nub but maybe that's just me. very pleasing track. I'll check out the lp. BUT....
this goes to A. I've only recently come around to basking in Bo Diddley's glory. I had an uncle that turned me on to lots of Blues and R&B guys but BD never really grabbed me until I saw some footage about 6 or 8 years back. I was overcome with a severe case of Bo Diddley Mania which continues to this day. mark my words - the day will come when you will be singing "Cadillac" around the campfire with your grand kids.
