Not thrilled with the O'Jays pick.
Concrete Frontier. Like the name. Didn't think I would like the music. A definite whiff of stinky cheese about this one, but it's surprisingly fun, rocks out hard. But 7+min? You're trying my patience, Concrete Frontier.
Simply for not wanting to abstain again:

I like stoner rock, and while B may not be technically that, it has a lot of the musical earmarks.
Wasn't crazy about the O'Jays' choice either, but

A is an odd O'Jays pick - surely they have better, equally 'non-canon' choices? - but B is just not interesting to me on any level, plus add in the length. Good for what it is, I guess.

A is from a much earlier period than we normally associate with them. I love this kind of polished up town R & B from the northern cities. Slightly let down by a weak lead vocal (and you don't often say that about US soul singles of this period), but I still enjoyed it. B seemed a good example of grunge and I can see why it would appeal to some, but it's not my... etc.

Oh, A, you picked a lesser O'Jays track, and a lesser cover of a song whose original version I love.
B, this isn't my favorite example of stoner rock - the vocals don't do much for me - but I can get with it. And I appreciate you picking an artist I don't know.

B is something i can't appreciate.
A is a northern soul classic and a slightly unoriginal selection, but wins hands down here.

I was trying to write something about B but didn't know how to avoid being offensive.
A is not much of a pick, but got lucky.

Come back, Opeth, all is forgiven!
B sure has some nice loud guitars. A is enjoyable if lesser OJs.

You know I'm immediately against A, just from the youtube still. It's another generic R&B number anyway, performed well, but I've heard thousands of similar tracks. What instrument is that ungainly little solo, is it sax or oboe? Weird tone.
If fonz took part in the jazz, soul & blues cup, I'm pretty sure he'd pick a Warrior Soul track. I thought they had a much more polished traditional metal sound, but this one's got a grittier edge I don't mind. The vocalist is slightly annoying, but I like the avoidance of fast fret-tapping soloing, the guitar kinda folds in on itself, reminds me of Loop to some extent.

A is okay for what it is, but it's not a terribly exciting pick from the genre.
I might've liked B more around the time of its release, but it does just enough here to win.

The Ojays pick is a bit generic and boring..The Warrior Soul is far from great, but the decent rhythm section distracts from the annoying singer..Vote B
