what a bunch of grouches! I find the first okay but a little bloodless (save the intro).
B has blood to spare and probably some other bodily fluids. Hell, I LOVE "Alice".
thank God for social media. I'll bet you lot would drink all the booze and complain about the plastic cups. sheesh!
killer track!

Sweet motherless mercy, from what pit of hell did these monstrosities get unearthed? I'll go with B, which i found ok in parts. Sorry pickers, just not really my things.

These have to be tongue in cheek, but they're not even fun--just awful.
Abstain.

A is a nice fat swirly slab of synthpop and it reminds me of Fischer-Z or something like that. B started well but turned into a knees-up that wouldn’t feel out of place as a Chas n Dave b-side. It’s fun though!

I first heard this late last year when I play-graded it before putting it on discogs, as I was surprised to see the prices it was going for considering I had never heard of it or the band. Like John C, I was immediately struck by its similarity in feel and sound to the way I remembered the Wild Swans' Revolutionary Spirit (which was on Zoo, rather than Factory), a record I always liked by a spin-off from The Teardrop Explodes. It wasn't as good, but, on the 12" vinyl at least, it had a real verve and energy to it. Not bad at all, I thought, and within a couple of weeks I accepted an offer of $150 including postage for it in a private sale (it would have been more if the cover hadn't been damaged).
I can see how this doesn't appeal to some of the people here, but I feel that some of the opprobrium is over the top. I can how a pastiche of Rod Stewart singing Brown Sugar would offend a few, but the guitar tone is quite sweet at the end, and, as with A, there is a lot of enthusiasm going on.
I happen to prefer the Wild Swans to the Faces, so A

Does anything sound more dated than eighties productions?
B was actually quite enjoyable
