I enjoyed a lot Days of Wine and Roses back in the day, but this track was not sticking to my memory, not sure why because today I find it great. I remember reading reviews talking about VU influences, but I never heard them. Pity that Steve Wynn does not go along this kind of path more often, I enjoy this much more than the softer side he usually shows.
B is third division soul. Really not good.

I was never convinced by the Dream Syndicate. They have plenty of OK songs but no great ones, for the simple reason there was nothing great about them. Also, they remind me of the Cult [shudder]
B is fab. (Especially if you can hear it in the clip G originally posted, as the other one sounds wrong.) It has a keen and eager feel about it that’s really engaging. We need more catchy pop like this in the cup.

I had this album. Don't remember much about it. Didn't play it often. Finding it difficult to have an opinion about this.
Never heard this before. Basic American pop of the period. Soul-less but not actively unpleasant. If I had heard it as a teen would probably have liked it
For the memories of the times when music moved me,

Steph liked loud screaming guitars, as well as bands that could chime and pop, and the first DS record captures a band capable of all of that.
