Count me in as first exposure to A. The organ sound is definitely awful, but otherwise I enjoyed a lot this pick. I found its repetitive approach more compelling than annoying, although I see the point that if it's an FM staple I could easily get tired of it. But yeah, I'm afraid it got an unfair tie against the unbeatable charm of B
Like everyone else who isn't American, I never heard this before. Ditchwater dull plod through a load of cliches (although tbf they may have been cutting edge when it was made)
I was a fan of Mr E before this was released, and was a bit disappointed when it was, because there was too much vocal and not enough twang or imagination. 'Supervised' rather than produced by Lee Hazelwood. But it does have Darlene on it, even if she is reined in. I ended up playing the relaxed, saxy flip Stretchin Out more often - Duane always gave good B-side.
