Didn't take long to realize Earthtone9 isn't for me.
Forced to vote A
Was hoping this round would start with a much more exciting pair.

as soon as he let out his first breath, i immediately felt an urge to punch the singer in the face, by the end of the song i found myself doing time for manslaughter.
i don't get the appeal of solo reed but it proved to be a respite. A

You made it to the end at least. I lasted maybe a minute.

B feels like the metal equivalent of what I imagine those later Viking raids were like. They brought the rape and pillage, but you could tell their hearts weren't in it.

Didn't somebody try to float this same Earthone9 track in a cup not too long ago ? Anyway, still doesn't work for enough to get past Lou..Vote A

'A Gift' is Lou at his gentlest and funniest, recorded before he started fucking around with his voice. It's not much of a song ( ) but those breathy backing vox, the nagging flute motif, the sweetness of the arrangement and the simplicity of the whole thing - love it. The other one is shit. A

A is fairly low on my list of favorite Reed solo songs, but...yeah. Suffice to say B is not for me.

A by virtue of being good, deep-cut Lou Reed.

It's a nice understated slice of boring old Lou, but I generally prefer the cup to point at something I haven't seen before, rather than things I have to actively avoid. I guess it could've been a pretty funny song if he'd bothered writing some lyrics. But if he can't be bothered writing a song, I can't be arsed voting for it.
I seem to recall this Fonztone9 track being used before, or perhaps it was just discussed somewhere. I don't mind the quieter sections, and I don't mind the louder shouty Slipknotty moments, it's more the inbetween bits that I find objectionable. Would've loved a slice of something properly extreme in this cup though.

A is a scrap, but an extremely charming one and one I've always liked. I like the lighter side to Lou Reed and wish he'd given vent to it more often.
B is just too noisy for me. I could never listen to this and derive any kind of pleasure from it.

I was all ready to vote for B after its mellow vibes gently beguiled me, but then i focused on their name and that lack of a space between the e and the 9 really started to annoy me. It's wilfully grammatically obtuse, so much so that i'm going with A. Sorry B, great tune.

I think skope's will to punch that singer in the face was shared and practiced by his school mates. This would be an explanation to B. Kids, say NO to bullying.
Very minor Lou, but ...

B....oh no. Just no. We'll be having none of that nonsense around here.
A is minor Lou but almost fun! I vote for Fun Lou
