Two hours without a single comment. You miserable bastards.
It's rubbish.

It's not rubbish, or at least it wasn't when it was released, a breath of fresh air consodering the other turgid shit in the charts at the time. They disapp-eared up their oswn arses eventually, but the first three or four singles, and first album, were excellent pop. And don't call me a baastard, you wazzock

The only good thing about it is the guitar tone in the solos.

The only good thing about it is the guitar tone in the solos. and the 'camp northerner' in the purple jacket and hat in the audience!

There’s nothing terribly wrong with it. It wasn’t meant to change the world but it succeeds as a fine pop single. And it didn’t sound bad on the mostly dreadful US 70s AM radio formats. Also, 10CC was rarely better.

I quite like it, as I do most of their singles when they had the original foursome. Like most of their stuff,it's lightweight and has no real emotional content ( they share a lot with 70s Macca in this regard) so there is a facile quality, but it's well done and catchy. I'm curious as to why it's so disliked.

what did you cook, ray? Linda McCartney country veg pies, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and petit pois: not a lot of actual prep time involved, obvs , but in the interim cleaned and tidied the kitchen, fed the dog, loaded the diswasher, took laundry from washing machine and put it on the drieer and other simple chores that kept me away from the computer.

It's a total hit. Funny band 10cc. I think they had something but I need to revisit 'em to be 100% sure.

Hit, for sure. One of those songs that sounds absolutely WONDERFUL coming of a set of car speakers while you're cruising on a sunny day.
