The full one doesn't seem to be on YT, but it's a delight from start to end. Just brilliant.

Never understood why people enjoyed Looney Tunes Do you like any kids animated shows? Looney Tunes were made for all ages and cinema distribution, so not strictly comparable, I'd say.

Sure, i stand corrected. When most of us first saw them, i'm guessing they were part of kid's programming periods on TV, so that element of them is an important one in my mind.

Never understood why people enjoyed Looney Tunes Do you like any kids animated shows? Didn't watch much of them as a kid..They used to rerun Speed Racer and Scooby Doo and I liked those..Saw most of the Looney Tune iterations at least once (My friends watched them), but they didn't click..Same with Tom and Jerry..What's funny is, I love adult oriented animation now (Futurama, Simpsons, Sealab 2021, Birdman: Attorney at law,Archer etc..)

That's interesting that you like some animation even now but not the WB Loony Tunes ones. Pehaps the speech patterns or orchestration.

William Hanna and Joseph Barbera should have been drowned at birth

Even for The Flintstones? Scooby never clicked with me but I can only remember watching the older ones with Scrappy in them.

William Hanna and Joseph Barbera should have been drowned at birth That's unkind. No matter what they got up to in later life, they should be excused for creating Tom and Jerry

when I was between the years of maybe 13 and 25 Loony Tunes were pretty much like a religion to me. I was a "latch key kid". I'd let myself in the apartment after school, fix myself a snack and watch Chuck Jones the magic man on local TV. I don't really remember if Chuck did any magic - what I remember is the Loony Tunes. I won't try to preach to the non-converted. that's why Nerds are willing to be Nerds - we understand that our stuff ain't for everybody. that's why we have secret handshakes and treat fellow enthusiasts like long lost family (up to a point) When the Eddie Murphy movie "Beverly Hills Cop" was new, Pauline Kael compared Eddie's character in the movie to Bugs Bunny. I liked the movie WAY better than PK but I knew exactly what she meant. Bugs is smarter than everybody else in most Bugs Bunny cartoons. Not only that, since it IS a Bugs Bunny cartoon he seems to control the very laws of physics and logic. he pulls things out of nowhere. He is having WAY more fun in the Bugs Bunny cartoon than anybody else is. that sort of stuff really stuck to my ribs as a kid. I still enjoy watching that stuff - alas, I haven't met a young person who enjoys watching them with me for a very long time. fuck 'em.
