You haven't dropped in on The Other Place for quite a while... i'm done with it. it would be like putting the boot into a dying corpse. i don't have the stomach for it. anyway, i'm thinking of locking this thread and declaring a winner but you're closing the gap on G, so it's probably best to keep the poll open for another day. maybe you will rise like jesus christ on easter monday, JC?

Yes - I have faith that I'll level with G soon. He's a lovely fella but takes fart oo many tea breaks for such popularity to be truly warranted

Sudden upsurge for Markus in the voting. Good to see JC's aliases working overtime! John only has one 'alias', 'Admin'.

I was abstaining from voting, a little bit because of what was mentioned in the online friends thread. More difficult to accurately rate people you've never met. I know the point here is to rate posters as that, posters. Still... IN any case, I just had to cast one vote for Hippo. Having met her once, long ago, her level of quality, for lack of a better word, is absolutely remarkable. She leaves a lasting impression for sure. For what it's worth, she was here on one of the weirdest get-togethers among my oddball friends, celebrating a birthday, and despite everything, her class was unmistakable. I've also met Harv/Colin once and he's alright I guess ( ) but he's not in the list, so.... Of course, Footy also got a nod. You could tell HE was a good egg, despite the digital wall.

This was a few years ago when I was a bit player.
Now I’m ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille.

I voted G, Coan and Skope. G - always worth reading on music and films (politics much less so natch). A gentle man who occasionally gets prickly when poked but don't we all? Coan - he's interested in what others have to say which is a very attractive quality and without his passion this place would die on its arse. A figurehead, a totem Skope - seems to be loved/reviled in equal measure but a singular presence who genuinely makes me laugh out loud. Never scared to just be himself and tell some hard truths, regardless of how uncomfortable they may be to others. I appreciate that Nice to see this. Of course it wouldn't be the same today, but....we live on *shrugs*

I vote for JC by virtue of his uncanny shrugging ability!
