I watched the first two episodes of the last series last night and have to admit that I found it very funny.

Some good bits but nothing hilarious. The body language stuff was pure David Brent (I know AP came first). I enjoyed the scene where he was irritated with the remixed theme tune most.

It's almost too slick, too professional, too subtle. Alan was always a loser (which made us like him), even when he had a TV show but now the character is too self aware to the point where it doesn't quite feel like Partridge.
