Not even something off Who's Next for you, Charlie? The only single I know of off Who's Next was "Won't Get Fooled Again"/"I Don't Even Know Myself". The A-side is a great song, but the edit is deeply unsatisfying; the B-side should never have been released. As fearlessfreep says, "The Real Me" is a killer song (and like him I'm not a fan of the album) - but as Goat Boy says, it doesn't feel like a single. I enjoy "Squeeze Box" very much but I can't bring myself to call it "great." Same with "Who Are You". I hate hate hate hate hate everything about "You Better You Bet".

The Who lost it in the 70s even more than The Stones did. At least The Stones managed to get to the end of the decade still sounding vaguely relevent.

Yeah, a much better 70s singles-wise, with at least half a dozen GREAT songs. No contest.

Ok, off the top of my head, 'Brown Sugar', 'Tumbling Dice', 'Happy', 'It's Only Rock n Roll (But I Like It)', 'Heartbreaker', 'Fool To Cry' and 'Miss You'.

Mind you I'd struggle to call some of those Stones singles great..mediocre would be more fitting.

In real time? "The Seeker", for me (I love it to bits).
With asterisk? "Long Live Rock" (released in 1979, recorded in 1972)
