i was hoping that the subject of 'fist city' was going to be about something else but nevertheless i enjoyed it.
lynn towers over liliput who are pretty nondescript.

I'm genetically averse to this kind of thing; knee-slappin', line-dancin', fiddle playin' yee-hawin' country and/or western. I hold my hands up and say, not for me, I know not what to do with this.
Liliput are very much cut from the kind of cloth I like, which has no tassles. A handy reminder that I should really own something by this lot by now. Couldn't be more up my street if it knocked on G's door, called him a twat and asked him to carry their cases to my house.

A
Loretta would probably be open to working with Lilliput, but they probably not with her, some minds only work small and closed.

Have always loved A. In some places this would flirt with obviousness, but not here. Fortunately it's not going against some dull 'new wave' thing from 1983, so it stands a chance.
B is fine and kind of cute in its own understated way. But it's another that fades from the memory in an only slightly longer time than it takes to hear.

Down home country just isn't my thing and this rather standard sounding track isn't changing that fact.....LiLiPUT/Kleexnex need far more love than they receive...Vote B

gotta go with LOW-retta. A I quite like the weird drumbles on the other but I think LL's singing voice is a pretty great thing - pretty hard to beat. I love that country music Hog Callin' style of vocals. I doubt if anybody did it better.

A fits very neatly into a particular musical convention and that's a problem for me. It's OK but it goes exactly where all of this stuff always goes.
I've heard some good stuff by LiLiPUT - German band I think - this isn't anything special but at least they're not going yodelly-ho yo-ho-ho

Difficult one for me. It's a choice between something quite formulaic but capably done and something experimental that's not very successful ( the drums were okay, but the vocals were painful to listen to).
No idea really, but I don't want to keep abstaining...B

It seems like we're required to like A based on NPR "authenticity." It's fine and the title is fantastic.
I've liked LiLiPUT/Kleenex for years -- B

Had a finbar saunders moment when I saw A's title but I had a feeling that Loretta would show some decorum. I really don't like this sort of music even though it's obviously done well.
So it's B

B passed by with no traces left.
I loved A. Give me all you want of this c&w thing in exchange of all your English folk.

ALoretta would probably be open to working with Lilliput, but they probably not with her, some minds only work small and closed. What does this even mean? Anyway, i can appreciate LL's voice very much, but musically B is just more my thing. B
