B is AM radio cool, but i still wish it was 'Lightning Strikes'. A still has enough power to draw me in, as world-weary as we are.

A for me as well. Been listening to Lou for too long and, as has already been pointed out, it's not even his best.

Talk about delayed gratification. All build no climax. It's all right, I don't hate it, but it just seems so pointless: not that's there any reason for popular music to have a point, but if it doesn't, why load it with portent?
Here's a case in point: nothing wasted. I've been a fan of Lou Christie and his imporbably Pinky and Perky falsetto since his first flowering with The Gypsy Cried and Two Faces Have I. NOt that this is as good as those, and it's nowhere near his masterpieces, Lightning Strikes and the even better follow-up, Rhapsody in the Rain, but he does have a great pop touch. Sure, it's a bit cheesy, but it's light and creamy like brie, rather than stinky like Limburger or full of holes like a gouda.

Lana
‘s wonderful. She’s the real deal.
Lou
The best thing I’ve heard by him, much better than the overripe Lightning…. Toe-tapping and multicoloured.
