veirs was harmless enough. nothing interesting. same can be said about logic, except it was a TAD more interesting.

Veirs does absolutely nothing for me..Really enjoyed the Logic track..Light and bouncy..Sounds like some of the stuff Rachel Aggs (Sacred Paws, Shopping etc..)plays around with in her bands..Shocked I hadn't heard it before..Vote A

A is very nice, original and uplifting, an excellent find. Pity about the unnecessary instrumental section at the end.
Pity also that it's paired against a highlight of one of my faves albums of the last few years. Nothing earthshaking or terribly original, simply a good, in fact very good, song.

Once again I'm finding both hard to connect with. Don't make me say 'wheelhouse' again! (Whoops, too late.)
I guess A stands apart from its ilk a tiny bit more.

B
was just a touch more accessible and likeable and nice and compact and that's what got my vote here

Ah, new wave -- I'm starting to miss it. B is the sort of music that reminds me of cold oatmeal A

There's just too much stuff like B - the sort of thing that gets DiamondDog all horned up. Generic indie-film soundtrack dreck.
A is QUIRKY. Sometimes I need quirky.

This is a lovely warm and summery slice of post-punk. Really like the rolling percussion and exotic sounding guitar, and the vocals are charm personified. Kinda The Fates meets Bow Wow Wow, a really playful, inventive sun-soaked slice of pop.
Never heard of Laura Viers before, but this is also a nicely pleasant slice of pop. Reminds me of Julia Holter at her more playful and poptastic (Everytime Boots, for example). Light hearted fluff, and who doesn't like a good fluffing every now and then?
Both are so good, they earn a heartfelt abstain from me.

A's from a time when indie bands or records ( not that we really called it indie back then) didn't recognise musical boundaries...African HiLife? Sure we'll have a go! The amateurish enthusiasm conveyed really is quite infectious. I was less keen on the trilling 'jolly hockey sticks' vocal (also a thing of the time, see Girls At Our Best), but I can forgive it that because the whole thing worked so well.
B has a lovely vibe and marries a traditional song approach with some atmospheric touches in the arrangement. It's the kind of modest thing that tends not to do well in the cup and I feel a little sorry for it so I'm giving it a vote.
B
Really enjoyable tie.

Good match. Like both as pleasant slices of pop, sunning themselves on the window sills of my wheelhouse. May just be B; i played it twice coz it seemed to end too soon.

Yeah, excellent match.
I like the quirkiness of A, but B is simply a great song. I also felt compelled to play it a second time.
