Spencer Elden, the man who was photographed as a baby on the album cover for Nirvana's Nevermind, is suing the band alleging sexual exploitation.I don't know about accepting it's 'sexual exploitation' but considering the amount wanted, 2,250,000, i'd just pay it. If it was something like 20 million or something, i'd be saying "Aye, saunter". I'm inclined to believe this guy solely down to the amount he wants. No the best thing to go by but..... In terms of if he has a point, i think he kinda does. Bill burr had a good bit about his friend sending him a picture of his friend's young child naked in a funny or cute pic. Burr didn't open the picture, but warned his friend not to be sending him that shit. Just the times we're in.

Good thing you went into script writing and not law, Markio! 150,000 from each person to make this go away? fucking bargin. That's the way i'm thinking of it. Happens all the time in these situations.

Settling out of court is the best he could possibly hope for. No judge or jury would decide in his favor.

About a decade ago, apparently he admitted to using "you've already seen me naked" as a pickup line.
I've always thought it was a great cover, and I think you'd pretty much have to be a sick fuck to think of it as being in any way sexual.
It seems to me it's gotta be pretty tough to convince a courtroom that there's any sexual exploitation going on, as the theme is clearly innocence vs. cynicism and greed, and if you hide the...let's just say 'anatomical reality' then you've already taken away that innocence, which is kinda the point.
Neither the cover nor the photo sexualizes Baby Spencer in the slightest - that's in the eye of the viewer.
Apparently, one consideration was to put a sticker over the 'offending' uh...item, and have the sticker say something like "if you are offended by this picture you a probably a closet pedophile." Maybe that's what they should have done.
Was the intent to exploit anyone sexually? I don't see how.
