Happy to have more here, but...ooh...not a great start.
A was amusing and 'fun'. I hate 'fun.
OK, I don't really hate fun. But my tolerance for this kind of retro stuff is usually limited. Are the originals that they're taking off from out of print or something?
B just washed over me. I guess it's the ol' 'good for what it is/not my thing.'

There was always a scene in US teen movies of the 80s and 90s where they'd go to the prom and the live band would sound like this, playing some naff, wacky take on rock n'roll and you'd see the nerd in his bow tie going mad dancing to it. Useless.
When I used to buy lots of trip hop compilations in the 90s, it was full of this kind of stuff, indeed this is a bit of a cliche of that sound - the fake vinyl crackles, the jazz samples, the wafting, ambient female vocal etc.. The compilations always had titles like 'Late Night Vibes' as well. I quite like it, but it's pretty slight as a pick.

Both pretty mediocre IMO. Wouldn't want listen to either of them again, but I'll take the 'fun' scent of A over the tepidity of B

good opening tie for a change.
AS HATZ SAID, A was a lot of fun and i enjoyed it a lot.
B was a little bit more out of my comfort zone, but i still thought it was ok.

Bloody hell, Showaddywaddy. 2007? Seriously? Did Shakin' Stevens die for nothing? (Aside from not being dead, that is a pertinent question).
B sounds like someone playing a TOTP disco album, and adding some really crap fake vinyl crackles. Really bargain basement stuff this. Shocking selections to end the last round, and to start this one.
B, because I fail to see how anyone could do something as pointless as A in 2007.

Both are ok here without exploding any volcanoes. B is probably what i'd be more interested in hearing again tbh, so...

Both good in entirely different ways. Can I say 'they do what they set out to do'? well I just did! so there
Actually now I'm a bit further through B, the stumping drum sound is bothering me. DEAL BREAKA!
I was going for
A
anyway - more than just a retro stomp, there are other bits

I really don't see the point in putting a dense layer of vinyl 'crackle' over your tune, so for that reason alone I'm giving it to A.

This is a perfect description of A. I can't get the image out of my head, but since it's such a ridiculous image, I have to take A

A cheered me up and made me smile and that's enough for me. B made no impression on me at all.
