Surprised to read he died in Jamaica. I thought he lived in Switzerland now. Kinda poetic though.

Oh fuck!!
He did live in Einsiedeln since 1989. I really love this collaboration that can be read as a tribute to Switzerland.

Listening to Heart Of The Congos now.
I saw him years ago in a tiny club in Austin. He was the most ferociously stoned person I think I've ever witnessed up close. It wasn't like he or his (European, blond, seemingly sober) backing band actually did anything particularly noteworthy, yet it was a really enjoyable show, and warmly remembered ever since.
RIP.
