The first track sounds like they are tuning up in prep to do a real song..The second is interesting enough to take this..Vote B (Even though I think we had this song in a previous cup..)

This is a weird one. Sounds like a random extract from a longer piece, and when I looked it up, turned out that that was exactly what it was. I wasn't much taken with the sound of the sitar in the Sixties, when it was suddenly, briefly, The Thing, and while I heard some genuine Indian classical pieces that I could live with in the early 1970s, I never felt it sat well with blues and rock structures: if you want a drone, try guitar feedback. Or bagpipes ffs. The album apparently also includes Mike Deasy, a latter-day Wrecking Crew alumnus, and Ry Cooder on guitar, as well as a six-year old drummer. It's a fucking mess. Not as horrid as that Rings and Things shit from the qualifiers (and no, I will NEVER let that go), about as psychedelic as a kick in the head - wow, man, I saw stars! Coloured ones!
This may not have been as much of a mess as the last one, but it was just as pointless and formless (to me - no doubt you MUSICAL types will find something to wibble over). As you may have gathered ove the years, my favourite instruments are saxophones and the piano (occasional exceptions, clarinet and cello), but there's something about the playing in this that I found a bit off, tired, oddly colourless.
I'm voting A because it wasted less of my precious time

I thought The Comet is Coming was that American band who had Ben Chasny in, but were a much more crappy hard rock thing than his 6 Organs of Admittance stuff. Who was that? Comets on Fire. Not really hard rock, more a 'psychedelic' jam band, not that you'd make such a nice distinction

wow! these are great! my compliments to the chef! it's Party Time on Planet Sneelock. Either would be a fine choice but I'm going with A because I just so happen to be wearing my hippy fringe vest. far out.

Very nice indeed, love the draggy textures. The one thing it lacks, and that it’s opponent has in spades, is the auld NRG.
Comet
I prefer Hutchings in his Comet guise. Luv the Sons of course (new one out soon) but the vocals distract. The Comets pass at Carpenter-esque electronics plus parps equals goodness.
…and RIP Brian Travers. B

A’s pretty good and certainly deserves a box of chocolates for showing the acceptable face of sitar but I really enjoyed

A is a nice enough sixties artefact, but I prefer B, great pick!
