He just didn't give a fuck, he was the man. There's a clip of him on the O'Brien show making wife jokes that make him look bad. Still, O'Brien shit himself trying to turn it around, it was old skool and he was making fun of himself, but it was still too risky for current times. Love macdonald.

Last night, Seth Myers said some words about his former SNL alum and recalled the first things he heard McDonald say.
McDonald was visiting the set and someone asked him how his child was doing.
McDonald replied, "Pretty good. So far no abductions."

I loved the guy. I saw him on TV recently with David Spade and all those Adam Sandler is Our Frank Sinatra guys and Norm didn't look so good.He was saying nice things and everybody was getting all choked up. I guess I'm pretty slow because his passing still took me by surprise.
sometimes I meet people who enjoy what they are doing. I mean, they REALLY enjoy what they're doing. When you'd see Norm on a roast or a talk show and the audience or hosts got impatient with him - he seemed like one of those guys - a happy man.
He had no shits left to give at a very early age. this made him a LOT of fun to watch sometimes and sometimes it just sat there. he managed to have a great time either way. his last talk show was like that. he was unpredictable. I like that in an entertainer.

Quite a bit of Louis CK-type scandal surfacing now about Norm, I hate to say. It's there if you want to look for it, and there's going to be more.

This has been happening since 2018 when the Tonight Show cancelled an appearance after he questioned the #Metoo movement and made apologies for Roseanne after her Valerie Jarret "ape" comments.

Why don't you merge the threads? Why don't you merge your butt cheeks? It isn't easy to do. In fact it might be impossible

Not to denigrate tha woman's experience, but I sure do hate that "Must be cool. . . " response. If you wanna get a "Fuck you," from me, works every time.

Quite a bit of Louis CK-type scandal surfacing now about Norm, I hate to say. It's there if you want to look for it, and there's going to be more. I haven't seen anything, and Nikki Cox has been mum. Some good context from 2018: www.spin.com/2018/09/norm-macdonald-me-too-interview-quotes/In a new interview, comedian Norm Macdonald says his new Netflix talk show, Norm Macdonald Has a Show, will steer clear of topical humor and political punditry, focusing more on the oddball sensibilities he’s cultivated over the years. That might be a good plan considering that his opinions on the #MeToo movement, as explained in the same interview, don’t sound particularly informed or well thought out, especially when it pertains to his old friend Louis C.K.
Macdonald brought up the #MeToo movement on his own when talking to The Hollywood Reporter in the context of the political climate of Los Angeles and in the country as a whole.
