Something that you've never mentioned here before.
As insignificant as you like. As recent or as far back as you want.
Don't worry about showing your bad side 🙂

Not the wisest thing to confess probably but there we go.
In March this year, I was lifted from my bed early in the morning and after some formalities, taken into custody and brought to a detention centre. There I was interrogated for 6 hours and was told I had to stay there for maximum 5 days. The next day another interrogation for 3 hours orso.
I don't want to go into details but the crux is it's for something rgarding company tax that I did not do rather than what I did do.
After the second interrogation I was free to leave.
It cost me months to come over it, months of short nights where I couldn't stop my thoughts from running wild with all sorts of scenarios what would happen next. Regardless of lawyers telling me that an eventual punishment would be pretty soft.
Anyway, this week I had a meeting with the district attorney to arrange the matter outside of the court.
In short, my offense was inexcusable and rules are rules and this needs to be punished. So in the next months I will have to do 180 hours of work - which could be anything.
Strange as it may sound, this week has been a relief and I have slept better than in the previous months.
You know, when you see things in films, or read about situations that involve things like interrogations, you tend to think this will never happen to me, or I would handle that completely different. Well, you don't. Not me at least.

That's refreshingly honest, thank you.

Before speculation takes the better of the opinion machine:
What I did not do is file the accounts timely. Far too late actually.
No tax dodging involved. My criminal record will say “did not file company records in time to the receiver”
But now that I am a hardened criminal I am thinking of taking a few piercings in my brows, nose and maybe a pointy one on my chin.

In my twenties when I'd meet women in bars, one of my first questions would be where they lived. I was so lazy that if they lived beyond a certain radius I felt was too long to drive, I would stop trying to hit on them or ask them to go out.
It's funny on dating sites now is I get women from Nevada and Washington looking at my profile. When I see that, I say to myself, "You're kidding, right?"
A year or so ago, I was talking to a high school friend, still attractive, about going out. She lived in Sacramento. As things ramped up, conversationally, I thought better and stopped contacting her.

Sorry for your incarceration. I find it interesting for a tax/white collar crime there was 5 days mandatory jail. Did you have your own cell? Were you jailed with other non tax persons awaiting trial or had already been to trial? Food any good?

A wide range of inmates ( :-) ). People that were picked up for theft, barfights etc. Pretty pitifull bunch. Own cell. Food was horrible. But I must say, I wasn’t really hungry. One funny thing that happened during a smoking break. An older guy approached me for a cigarette and my first thought was ‘fuck off’ Then in the same moment I thought ‘ Hey, that’s the Crooked Beat’ So I gave him two but he seemed discontent it wasn’t his brand. 😂 The max five days is just the period they can keep you without interference of a court.
