You still find them! It was all about him following this small group of mates as they grew up in 80s Midlands, wasn't it? They were skinheads, they didn't change their style much over those few years. You didn't find anyone dressing as skinheads in the mid eighties, other than on the gay scene! Pretty much anyone who had been a skinhead in 1981 had become a casual by 83.

This Is England '86 is a 2010 British drama miniseries written by Shane Meadows and Jack Thorne, a spin-off from the 2006 film This Is England. Set three years later, it focuses on the mod revival scene rather than the skinhead subculture, with the gang variously adopting an eclectic mix of clothing styles.
Like the film version previously, Thomas Turgoose stars as Shaun, with central roles played by Joe Gilgun as Woody, now a scooter-riding mod, although girlfriend Lol (Vicky McClure) and her friend Trev stay loyal to their roots and still wear the skinhead garb. Lol's sister Kelly has gone new wave/punk, while other gang members adopt psychobilly, early chav and mohican influences.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_Is_England_%2786

Shane Meadows was born in 1972 and so was too young to remember the timelines and details. He gets it wrong.

This time next year, ‘Bergerac Redux’ will be near the top of the list. But only if Nettles is involved.

These are my in-depths reviews of the shows I've seen any episodes of.
3 Breaking Bad (2008-2013) - first few episodes. Was alright, but lost interest. 5 Game of Thrones (2011-2019) - Load of old toss. 9 The Office (UK) (2001-2003) - Some great moments 19 Lost (2004-2010) - Was alright for half a series 21 Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000-) - Never found it that funny 22 Black Mirror (2011-) - Occasionally interesting, but not as clever as it thinks it is. 27 Line of Duty (2012-2021) - Quite good 34 The Bridge (2011-2018) - First series was great. 36= Downton Abbey (2010-2015) - Get fucked 42 Peep Show (2003-2015) - Alright every so often 43 Money Heist (2017-2021) - First series was great 48 Inside No 9 (2014-) - Always worth a watch. 52 This is England 86, 88 and 90 (2010-2015) - I liked the film, the series didn't grab me. 68 Stranger Things (2016-) - First series was alright. Bit of nonsense about nothin', though. 73 Planet Earth (2006) - Yeah, not bad 84= Normal People (2020) - Dreary wannabe arthouse shite. The book is shit, too. 95 Luther (2010-2019) - Watchable guff 100 The Queen's Gambit (2020) - I watched the first episode and liked it. The missus didn't.

At quick glance, no 'Justified' and/or 'Boardwalk Empire' makes this list seriously dubious..

that's a LOT of hours of television. I don't think I have enough hours left. How will I ever finish my stamp collection?

Spiral and Peaky Blinders are the two biggest ommisions for me. Seems to be Anglophone only The Killing, the Danish original, is at 78 and the Spanish Money Heist is in there as well.
