I think I prefer the preludin Facebook page to this one sometimes.

Didn't know there was one. What's the point of it?

there's a Preludin Facebook page? whattaya know. I stopped being a willing part of people's OUTRAGE CYCLE. I've been enjoying Facebook a lot more by going there considerably less.
no big loss. most of the op/ed writers I like to read seem to prefer Twitter anyway. This makes sense since the knuckles drag both ways on Twitter. I still like puppies and pictures and seeing what I was posting X number of years ago.
while not surprising, that "Facebook Files" stuff is still pretty upsetting. the fact that all that stuff was pretty glaringly obvious in real time has me just as concerned with myself as with the platform. I mean, just how MUCH do I like those puppies and pictures?

I tweeted Facebook when they announced they were rebranding - lipstick on a pig is still a pig.

Actually, lipstick on a pig is still lipstick.

I've never been on it. Every time I've come close to capitulating (and there have been several), some new horrible revelation has come along to save me from myself.

Didn't know there was one. What's the point of it? i set it up when JC was threatening to pull the plug on this place. it's been getting quite lively of late and provides a platform where people can character assassinate bcb'ers without fear of being admonished. a sort of stereo central.

I can’t find it. Do you need a special decoder ring or something?

I can’t find it. Do you need a special decoder ring or something? i had to make it a closed shop due to the potentially libellous content, snee. LJ and nev really don't hold back. carol is a surprisingly regular contributor and her recent tales of illicit NOC new year's eve jolly ups have been disturbing to say the least. all i can say is that they involved bizarre rituals centred around a shed and mushy peas. quite frankly, it makes the bcb gossip thread on here seem quite convivial.

I still use facebook. Jeff K's music and film groups are cool, the no wave group always throws interesting stuff out and has a fairly cool membership roster (Mars' Mark Cunningham, Weasel Walter, Foetus, Etant Donnes, Thurston Moore, etc), and the Wayward Waters group for obscure stuff is always worth delving into.
Then there's the group where BCB members dicuss preludin discussing BCB. It's a riot. Lots of cutting edge Zappa and Atomic Rooster content.
