It has "something" G. I quite like it. It suits 'her'

Time to drag JC and Fange away from the White Stripes I reckon for something rather more bracing.
So what do you think of this 1978 single from The Kids?

Yeah i like that G, lots of energy. Don't know anything about this band; is it supposed to end so suddenly?

It's alright. Its energy is about the only thing that's good about it - there isn't even the MODICUM of invention.
The White Stripes thing is superior by every known METRICe

is it supposed to end so suddenly? I think so.. No. The full version is elsewhere on YouTube, but you're not missing much. (That's not a criticism of the record. I like it.)

Thanks, Charlie. Yeah, the energy and sound is fun, but then this style is very much in my House of Wheel.

Wow, that's ace! A New Orleans Screamin' Jay in blues mode!
He died after releasing just two singles, Who Shot The La La is about him, the Internet tells me. I had only ever heard She Put The Hurt On Me. And this recording made its first and only appearance posthumously on that Ace comp.

Thanks Ange!
erm....it's OK. It sounds like a lot of other things - it's not knocking me out this morning. Sorry, that's probably my ignorance showing. Maybe it'll sound better later.

Lawrence once wanted to be Jack Kerouac, now he wants to be Father Abraham. There's a moral for our times in there somewhere.

This one is for the fishy fella That's pretty bad, it has to be said. I don't mind a child-like take on a song every so often (The Residents' "Make Me Moo" is a masterpiece"), but it seems to be entirely lacking in charm or wit. I don't really get the point of it. Not what I expected, I have to say, I guess it's new to dislike Lawrence for being silly and childlike, rather than dull.
