Goodness me, some of you need to re-visit the sheer majesty of their sound.
Honestly, anything not on the radio 2 daytime playlist barely gets a mention round here.
Maybe time to start that "padded knee straps" yay or nay thread.

I own their first EP and the next 3 albums plus the live EP The Smell Of Female. I was at the show this was taken from at the Peppermint Lounge in New York in 83. Snarfyguy from BCB was at the show as well, though I didn't know him. I love their whole aesthetic, I like the same movies and trash rock that they do. I never bothered with any of their albums after the mid 80's, but I'm glad they existed. I saw them in the same year (....possibly at The Hammersmith Palais). Probably the wildest gig I've attended. Lux was jumping down into the crowd and fighting. The atmosphere was totally electric.

I saw them when they supported the Police, just as The Police started to have hits.
Lux jumped off the stage in Glasgow which was at least 15 feet high to fight the crowd, marvellous stuff.
Gravest Hits, Songs and Jungle are really all you need. Raph on bcb did me a comp Songs to Scare Your Children With, which covered more than these albums, still play it often.

If you don't love some Cramps songs, you don't really love rock and roll.
This is my opinion, and i am sticking to it.
