An excellent portrayal of the intelligence and guile of modern day Scottish youth:

I heard of them without knowing a lot about them or being able to name any of their tunes. It was a standard documentary with a tried and tested formula for an interesting story of a band. Drugs, money, fighting over self importance, maybe not staying true to themselves (Selling out), band members leaving etc etc. However this shouldn't take away from what the achieved, which in hindsight was amazing. To be very honest i watched it because i had/have a crush on Carlisle since i was a nipper after watching her in this video. Sweet jesus, beautiful.

Class Action Park. it's decent for a cable doc - by no means one of the best and yet it was VERY entertaining and makes some points about how Americans coming of age saw themselves in the 80's. it's amazing to think there was a time not long ago when an amusement park could be so unsafe and dangerous and that this would actually factor into it's appeal. okay, I take that back. maybe it's NOT so hard to imagine. still, no great shakes but well done and with a little more meat on it's bones than you might expect.

Ben Affleck's heist caper, directing and starring as the rogue trying to pull off one last job and leave his past behind. Not an original bone in its body, but it's engaging enough and the central romance is well-played and at heart more important than all the shooting and pilfering. What bank manager goes to a laundromat though? Surely they earn enough to cover the coss of everyday domestic appliances?

Tenet. Wasn't in the mood. But I was nagged to go and it was a $1 ticket. Not being in the mood I found the audio too loud and i struggled understanding what people were saying (get off my lawn!). It requires exercising of the brain and i'd been working all day. It's a Christopher Nolan film so you know what to expect and whether you should go.

At least delve in to it a bit.

Rented the documentary on Herb Alpert that just came out. As usual with these things there were too many talking heads who didn't really have all that much to say (many of them weren't even identified); as isn't so usual, there wasn't much drama - no drug or alcohol battles, no squandering or ripping-off of his fortune, no egomania issues... But I really enjoyed it.

The Social Dilemma
Is it a film? Is it a tv show? I dunno. It sure is scary though!

You don’t sound very serene, though. I’d ask for my money back.

Don't tell anyone, but I have a friend who works at a library and she shared their Amazon Prime password with me. Shhh...
