It's a strange thing, isn't it? I reckon the vast majority of people never feel the impulse to hit someone. Why would you?
But it happens. And I do like to watch fights.
Are you a violente sort?

Really? They'd threaten to smack you? I grew up in South London/Kent in the late 70s/early 80s - so of course! Especially when I started dying my hair and dressing in an outre fashion.

I would say many of us have felt a impulse to hit someone at some point in our life no? At least a vague desire anyway. Especially at school or as a young adult. The last time I was in an altercation was around 15 years ago. Before then it was at school. I'm not a violent sort but I have a temper. I think anybody in the right/wrong situation can be violent. It just depends if that ever happens. I mean, if somebody was violent towards a girlfriend or a family member then surely you would retaliate somehow?

No, I couldn't imagine ever getting into a fight. I'm not really an impulsive or explosive person in any way shape or form, I think I've kinda got the reactions and emotions of a coat hanger most of the time. I'm kind of naturally laid back and keep my emotions and impulses reserved without thinking about it. I'm not a reactive sort.
There was a major kinda cross-continent contretemps at work last week involving me and another team, which did get fairly senior management involved, and I was absolutely fuming. But most of the time I was just thinking about how best to get across that I was actually fuming, without resorting to any improper language and making sure I was factually and technically correct in the argument. I mean, that's not someone running up and lamping the missus, but that's never happened, and people probably misjudge how small she really is and swing way over her head anyway.
Boring fucker, me.

I've never been in a fight, but I do understand the impulse toward violence. Christ, sometimes just being a pedestrian or cyclist in this city is enough to make one crack, the drivers are so stupidly inconsiderate.
The only time I ever hit someone was when I was about 11 and was being picked on in the schoolyard by a bigger guy. A couple of indigenous kids from the nearby reservation stepped in and grabbed the guy and told me to hit him. I gave him a weak punch to the belly and that was that. I still to this day wonder why they decided to protect me - usually the native kids kept to themselves.

I would say many of us have felt a impulse to hit someone at some point in our life no? I feel that impulse more and more, usually when reading the news. But I haven't actually hit anyone since I was seven. And I felt bad about that one. I doubt I ever will, unless it's in self-defense.

Haven't punched someone since grade school and he started the fight..My punch ended it..It just never came up after that..Think it's because I had an older brother with a red line temper, who got into many fights growing up and into adulthood. He's a jackass who cannot control himself once his anger reaches a certain point. Set a good example of what not to do. Also, I'm relatively chill, preferring to assault enemies with a rapier like wit..lol

Never been in a fight but i worry about my temper if i ever did. Not necessarily that i'll go crazy and fuck someone up, rather i'll go crazy and not know when to give in when i'm getting ass soundly handed to me. Fucking myself up more.

Probably like big time bettors, you don't hear about the losses.
