what a day from 20 jazz funk greats and Greatest Hits. it's one of those weird "push me/pull you" tracks that draws you in with it's cadence and drives you away with it's vocal. I thought I hated it until I realized I loved it.

Try the version I linked to on the previous page. It's basically the greatest thing in the history of things.

I like some of it. A lot of creative energy buzzing around. They were pretty groundbreaking. I wasn't 'there' when they were contemporary-my first exposure to any of these characters was Godstar, which I thought was shit. My mate bought it and enjoyed it. They turn up on some comps-one I got recently (Close to the Noise Floor) has 'What a Day'. Different to my usual wheelhouse.
I always seem to get distracted by the Cosey porn thing. Always gets referenced in the magazine articles I've read. Chris and Cosey in particular get a lot of column inches in Electronic Sound, which I get on an e sub via pocketmags. GPO seemed unpleasant.

'Godstar' is the greatest single of the 80s.

'Godstar' is the greatest single of the 80s. You still have a vote in the 1985 canon, so why not support it?

Scrap wll deal with that. Meanwhile, I've looked it up, and you did vote for it, but in the wrong year. I'll move it back into 1985.
