it was on You Tube a few years back but not for long. it was interesting seeing it again. maybe os is right. I think a lot of my gloominess about it is stuff I'm projecting onto it. even with the "Get Back" iteration, I had twinges of gloom every time they showed the Twickenham stuff.
I saw it on a midnight show in the early 70's and it was like a funeral procession when the audience left at the end. maybe I still read that stuff into it.

I thought it was pretty gloomy, too. "Drab" might be the more accurate adjective, but Beatles fans weren't/aren't really prepared for the Beatles to be drab.

Leaving aside the (pointless) visual quality comparison, I have to say I'm more excited by the original trailer! Maybe it's a nostalgic thing... not that I actually remember this from 1970, but I remember a lot of other stuff from back then, and this definitely gives me an authentic 1970 psychic tweak, if you follow me. But I think it's also that, being as it's all still images, it doesn't give much of anything away, so it makes me that much more curious to see the movie!
Maybe I'm just weird.
