Freddie Hubbard made some good records. That's not one of them. Abstain.

I like both a great deal. I like B a touch more.

Both utterly wretched. A has those stomach-churning show-offy 70s jazz sounds, fussy and shrieky and completely unpalatable. Absolute wank. B is marginally better but still - all fur coat and no knickers, a complete charlatan making modern noise for clueless clowns

Windjammer! What a title! "I've not been for days, I'm getting stomach cramps, I think there's a right giant windjammer in my guts". Hmm, the drumming is good, but I'm finding backing all wrong, all those 70s keys and vaguely latino overtones. The flute (guessing here) bit is awful. Might be one of those things you have to be in the mood for, I can't find anything objectively bad about it, in the main, but something in my bones doesn't like it.
"Out of Sight" was the J-Lo/Clooney heist thing, wasn't it? I saw that in the cinema, I don't recall ever seeing it since. This sounds like a very rudimentary dance track, trying to be effortlessly cool, but just being slightly irritating. For that vaguely jazzy dance thing, I'd say Solex did this stuff 10 times better, with none of the cred.
After the excellence of tie 10, tie 9 is a real step down.
Nah, was going to abstain, but A just about does enough.

There's some great playing on A, particularly the percussion and I like the swirling, mysterious vibe the track creates. If I'm honest, the main horn motif was my least favourite part of it. Very nice track though. I was disappointed in B. It sounded like the kind of thing that would turn up on late 90s trip hop compilations (I had a load of stuff that sounded like this). It lacked distinctive qualities and is the kind of thing Holmes can do in his sleep.

A - It sounds like 1970s jazz in space! The other one sounds like nothing!

Vote B..Funky enough to beat A...If I was going with Holmes, might have gone with something off 'Lets get killed' or 'The Holy Pictures', but hey, this one is just enough for the vote...

A is far from the jazz I tend to listen to, but it is quite competent anyway. At the beginning I thought B's groove was going to conquer me until I realized that I was waiting in vain for something to happen.

A is a gnat's pube away from Kenny G. B is a chunky, hammond organ & scratching treat.

E-gadd, who the hell is picking Windjammer-era Hubb tracks, here? Well, it's not my favourite Freddie Hubb '70s record but there's still a heap of very strong playing. B is an enjoyable noise, but doesn't seem to get out of the 'background music' vibe and stand on its own as a tune. A
