B has promise but the singer's voice is off-putting.

Now here's a pairing you won't bloody see too often. Crikey.
I'm usually a fan of this kind of fun '50s track, but it's quite slight and generic really, with some enjoyable sax its main positive. B sounds a bit generic too in a folky pastoral way, not bad but nothing i'd really seek out again.
A for the sax.

I think I'd need to understand the lyrics to really appreciate B, the music itself isn't really giving us too much otherwise. The voice is quite endearing, though.
Oh fuck it though, A is a slice of stale cheese and a half. Yeah the sax is competent, a decent sax player is ten-a-penny.

Crikey, it's another Royal Variety performance opening dance number. More geriatric genericism.
Innundir Skinni is one of my favourite albums of the noughties, a small but perfectly formed slice of Icelandic folk excellence. I don't understand any criticism of the vocals, her voice is as positively pure as an icy stream, the music nicely delicate with a sight hint of pastoral psychedelia. Ah well.

There's not much to analyse in A. It swings and its fun and that's more than good enough for me. I enjoyed it a lot.
I like my folk eerie and other-worldly and so B was immediately appealing. The beguiling vocals reminded me of These Trails (who I keep meaning to pick for a cup) and the Icelandic sounded curiously like Welsh in places!
Great tie. It's close but I'm going Bbecause I'm a Preludin weirdo.

A made me wistful for the old place, but it can’t compete with Svif Birki. One of THE great Viking soul singers, of all time.

B didn't play for me. I looked for something else on Spotify and it was clear that this artist is not for me. Most likely A was going to win but it is not good enough against the unknown.

Both are outside of the Preludin Wheelhouse (whatever that is - I just know that it isn't this). Anyway, B intrigues me a bit more.
