A decent match. A might be very rough around the edges but I think I've spoken before about the idea of juxtaposing the melodic and dissonant to create an even greater, more evocative and particular effect - the dissonance might not be all intentional here (some of it is of course, it's a clear example of the period/scene where a production style like this would have been desired) but there's an interesting effect generated between the generally clean and sweet vocal melody and garage clutter enveloping it. I welcome reggae in small doses too - it's especially refreshing to see more variety in the cup and so on. This is a nice, short, to-the-point ditty, not a whole lot is going on in its but it's a perfectly fine two minutes. I suppose A though I liked both.

I don’t like A at all. B is a slight offering but at least I enjoyed it.

A The cover of Pretties fr yu was all over the racks of the local record shops in Canterbury when I was a student, but I was never tempted. If this is an example of it, I probably missed out, as it was the sort of thing I quite liked back then. I heard the Byrds in there for instance, which I wouldn't have expected from their later stuff that I'm more familiar with. B is a pretty standard reggae track, but that's a lovely voice, and takes it hear in a match between two interesting, unfamiliar tracks.

I'm surprised I got a tie. Just don't wear it with your shorts.
