Both of these were lots of fun. B is completely unfamiliar but it's nice and spirited and tuneful in a messy squally kind of way.
But I really have to give it to
A
which I found HUGELY entertaining

A is indeed highly entertaining, though it goes on past the point of diminishing returns. And I find it a little worrying that I'm saying that about a 2 1/2 minute song.
It's better than B, though. B is fine, but the diminishing returns start earlier and it goes on longer. Plus I feel like it's appeared before, either here or that 'other place.'

I saw Slim a few times in the 80s and he really swung. He sounds almost a bit reigned in on this as the music is slightly polite and antiquated, but I still find it a lot of fun. It's an original pick too. I enjoyed B far more than I thought I would. The riff and the way the music built were really effective I thought. Much better than most of the alt rock we're had in this competition. Shame one has to lose but A

B was alright as these things go and it was nice to see that killer dwarf fella.
But A was rather sprightly and fun.
Not great mind but...

Blimey, folks round here did wait for the last round before going mental. I reckon if some of these had broken up the regularity of the previous rounds, they might have scored a few more points. This is a bollocks novelty thing, surely? Odd choice!
Now Destroyer have definitely done the rounds on BCB before, because it's the only reason I know the band name at all. Mission loves 'em, doesn't he? Anyway, I think this particular track has been picked before, because I recall going on about the lovely squall of guitar adding colour to the track, and it still does. When I delved deeper, I never heard anything as interesting as this, but I really do like this one quite a lot. Got a touch of Half Japanese and Pixies about it, probably the worst aspects of each, but it works for some reason when mixed together like this. Great track.

MacVoutie O-reeney! Slim and Slam were great favourites with me from when I worked on Jazz Greats, and as far as I know the polyglot Gaillard was the first to invent a new language for his vocals rather than simply scatting - suck on that, Liz Fraser. You can hear why Kerouac loved him, a real stream of consciousness poet, although I realize from previous grotesque dismissals of the Fugs' celebration of freeing the poetic spirit and Phil Ochs's wondrous Romantic ode to disillusionment and the disappointment inherent in attainment, that that's not a recommendation for most here. I suspect - but simply don't know, because he was consistent in his sui generis style for nearly half a century – this is from his later career, but it still has the freshness and glee in invention of his best sounds from the 1940s. 7 / 10
Fucking hell, this is good, too, although it was better before the vocals started. Great guitar and a fine way with noise and filling in all the gaps. Tremendous propulsion, too. 7 / 10
Honestly can't decide. Tie of the round for me. Voting B to tie it up, but I might change my mind.

Agreed. And now that it's a draw I can't use the loser card and must decide. Tough choice. Think I'll give it to the one that is pushing me for further diggin'. B

I found A to be mostly annoying, although reading Ray's post at least gave it a bit of context.
B is for Bejar.

I love them both. But B is the catchier of the two just now with its big sound and one-note piano lines. Yes, it’s great fun. I listened twice!
