I take comfort that he is better than Havertz. Technically he isn't.

I thought Hojland looked OK last night, he's a proper old school centre-forward looking to get onto the end of crosses and out-muscle defenders. Utd don't play that way though, never pass to him, and certainly don't whip crosses into the box. Rashford seems somehow even less interested than Martial, he's going through the motions, just about. He wouldn't have needed to break sweat to get passed our fullbacks, but never seemed to attempt to run.

I'm not suggesting he's worth 75 million, though there's always that faint possibility he becomes a Lewandowski or Harry Kane in the near future. But I'd say in the list of Utd's problems, he probably shouldn't be worth mentioning beyond cost. I'd be looking at having a defined style of play and a plan to buy players to fit the manager's ethos. The manager should have a plan, and the transfer committee should occasionally have a chat with him, at least.

G is a little tetchy as Arsenal fans criticism of other teams strikers is more than a bit rich. He simply doesn't get the ball. I think EtH is either blissfully unaware or plain stupid. He is still young, so he has this and next season to make his mark. The truth is that generally, there are honestly very few competent strikers in Europe. I know what Levy said but United and Kane should have made it happen.

And Arsenal are irrelevant to the discussion.

But not before taking a couple of unnecessary touches.

Hats off to Klopp - I thought Liverpool would struggle with their new midfield this season, but they look good for a shot at the title. They've replaced their front line AND their midfield within 18 months, Van Dijk looks back to his best, Alexander-Arnold seems to have adjusted to playing in midfield and Curtis Jones looks very, very good all of a sudden. I like how their forward line seems to shift and blur all the time - Nunez, Jota, Gakpo all rotating and from left and centre. De Bruyne back for City changes things a bit, but it's between the two of them I think (again).

Shows what a great coach he is.

Palace are woeful. Unlikely Roy will last until the next match.

Yep. Massive blow for the Premier League IMHO - he's a remarkable figure.
It's also interesting that his coaching staff are also leaving too - I had thought his assistant might step up to the job in an echo of Shankly and Paisley.
EDIT - He told them in November and I suspect it'll be Xabi Alonso who takes over.
