The wife and I binged the first four seasons in about a three week period (I'd already bought us tickets to see them Up Close and Personal and figured...oh, fuck it...we'd better see what we're in for).
It's fantastic. Funny, sweet, human...hits a lot of my sweet spots. There's some unavoidable amount of setup in the first few episodes (what are they - half hour each?) that slows the start a bit, but it picks up quickly.
I recommend it highly.

I thought she did the most magnificent 'star turn' in Curb where she played a 'special needs' type making sexy faces across the table at Jeff Garlin. Ever since then I've kind of kept my eyes open for anything else she's in.
Wasn't she in those Christopher Guest comedies about am dram/show dogs?

I think she's in all or most of his movies. GREAT interview. what a talent. lot's of great stuff about the creative process and how things have changed in her line of work.

I'd completely forgotten all about Bam Bam Funkhauser! But, yeah, magnificent in all of the Christopher Guest movies ca. 1997-2006, and a real gem on SCTV.

I'll look at it. She and Andrea Martin were inspired comedians - totally different. I was a huge fan of SCTV and she's great in those Eugene Levy/Chris Guest mockumentaries.
Martin Short has some great stories about her in his autobiography.
