Maybe I should get out more and read less news that depresses me but I am slowly starting to think WWIII is becoming inevitable.
Cutting off food & energy supplies to the world, I think, is bound to meet the end of NATO diplomacy & patience.
If not political and military leaders themselves, the general public will sooner or later force them into action to hark back the affordable and trouble free lives of just last year.

Not sure I understand what you're saying here. I thought it was quite clear. Increasing hostility from Russia I think is bound to be answered by a coalition lead by Europe and the US. I think, however cynical that is, that if Russia had focused on Ukraine only and not effectively cut supply chains for food and energy to the world, they would have had a free pass. Like they did, when they took Crimea and god knows what other shit they pulled in what they see as their part of the world (Georgia, Chechnya...) What's not helping is that Putin is being very triumphantly about the whole thing, ( Smirky, on camera: Nato? Let them come!) I hope and half trust that military and politcial leaders get less annoyed by it than I do. But seeing an increasing part of the population is facing difficulty in paying for food and the electricity & gas bills, I think itis a matter of time before the people demand actions to make an end to it.

During the whole 80’s nuclear scare, which I never took seriously , I would have preferred it not to happen, but now, I eagerly await the end of the world and the sooner the better . Hey, Pooty, you and your saggy man-breasts don’t have the balls to drop your nukes. Go on, I dare you, you pussy.

Aye there's so much certain countries can go without before they find a "reason" to go at russia. I don' t think they can ever just admit it's down to necessity in case it makes them look bad. They'll have to think up another WMD type reason.

how are you going to know what they WANT you to think if you shut it all out? I'm too contrary for that!
Germany needs the gas. If Putin keeps getting richer by waging war then he's going to keep doing it. I'm waiting for some high school kid to invent a science project that runs an internal combustion engine and costs nothing to make. it may seem a feeble hope but I'll take what I can get.
but, yeah. things are looking bleak but I think we've got to keep looking. it's tempting just to fill the brain with chewing gum but if you do that for too long you look up and go WTF! how did I miss that?
