Do you worry about your memory? forgetting why you went in to the room, or what you were just thinking about, those type of things.
Do you have a hard time explaining your exact job, or do you just give the name of the line of work? like "Aye i work in IT".
In your prime, would you join the military if your country was in genuine danger of being attacked?
When was the last time you got so angry, you/friends/family didn't recognize you because you go so angry?
Do you follow orders/directions like road closed, you can't walk down there, or you can't stand there you have to join the queue, or follow the herd in public settings, things like that. Or do you question it or scope out the situation and make your own decision?
What deep thinking phrase that you really did see, grinds your gears? Shit like, "you only have one life, live it", "Living in the past stops you living in the now", shite like that.

Do you worry about your memory? forgetting why you went in to the room, or what you were just thinking about, those type of things. No
Do you have a hard time explaining your exact job, or do you just give the name of the line of work? like "Aye i work in IT". I haven't had a job in 42 years
In your prime, would you join the military if your country was in genuine danger of being attacked? No, not under any circumstances
When was the last time you got so angry, you/friends/family didn't recognize you because you got so angry? Never
Do you follow orders/directions like road closed, you can't walk down there, or you can't stand there you have to join the queue, or follow the herd in public settings, things like that. Or do you question it or scope out the situation and make your own decision? Sometimes
What deep thinking phrase that you really did see, grinds your gears? Shit like, "you only have one life, live it", "Living in the past stops you living in the now", shite like that. My gears remain resolutely unground by that sort of thing. Everybody is right, and everybody is wrong, about everything.

Do you worry about your memory? forgetting why you went in to the room, or what you were just thinking about, those type of things. uhhh, what was the question? Do you have a hard time explaining your exact job, or do you just give the name of the line of work? like "Aye i work in IT".Nope. I'm the NIGHT MAN and if they think I'm gonna clean that up - they've got another thing comin'! In your prime, would you join the military if your country was in genuine danger of being attacked?N/A. I never had a prime. When was the last time you got so angry, you/friends/family didn't recognize you because you go so angry?i never get THAT angry. I might act dumb but you can still recognize me. Do you follow orders/directions like road closed, you can't walk down there, or you can't stand there you have to join the queue, or follow the herd in public settings, things like that. Or do you question it or scope out the situation and make your own decision?I'd say 85% of the time. I like to keep my options open. What deep thinking phrase that you really did see, grinds your gears? Shit like, "you only have one life, live it", "Living in the past stops you living in the now", shite like that.I try to avoid anti-intellectualism (if not cliches) like the plague.

Do you worry about your memory? forgetting why you went in to the room, or what you were just thinking about, those type of things. Not worried, but it happens. I'm very easily distracted but that's just the way I am and always have been. My mind is like a pinball machine at times.
Do you have a hard time explaining your exact job, or do you just give the name of the line of work? like "Aye i work in IT". Yes, and unless it's really important to be clear I sometimes only tell people what industry I work in (insurance) even though my actual job has almost nothing to do with insurance.
In your prime, would you join the military if your country was in genuine danger of being attacked? Highly HIGHLY unlikely, unless I had been conscripted.
When was the last time you got so angry, you/friends/family didn't recognize you because you go so angry? Never. Not even close.
Do you follow orders/directions like road closed, you can't walk down there, or you can't stand there you have to join the queue, or follow the herd in public settings, things like that. Or do you question it or scope out the situation and make your own decision? In general I tend to follow the rules. This was true back in the day when I drove a car and now that I'm almost always on foot. I start by assuming that there is a good reason for the restrictions. Within reason of course.
What deep thinking phrase that you really did see, grinds your gears? Shit like, "you only have one life, live it", "Living in the past stops you living in the now", shite like that. At the opposite end f the spectrum, but there is one that I use all the time that drives all my friends nuts. "C'est c'que c'est!". It is what it is, en français.

I don't really worry about it, but it happens, yeah. It's a funny little thing that people like to joke about in friendly conversation, isn't it? 'I can remember the names of all the Beach Boys members - but ask me what I came into the room for..? ho ho ho' 'ah ha ha ha ha ha'
Do you have a hard time explaining your exact job, or do you just give the name of the line of work? like "Aye i work in IT".
No, because 'teaching English to foreigners' is pretty straightforward. There's nothing esoteric about what I do. People are even sometimes interested in it!
In your prime, would you join the military if your country was in genuine danger of being attacked?
I'd find every way possible - legal and otherwise - to avoid it
When was the last time you got so angry, you/friends/family didn't recognize you because you go so angry?
Reading your last post

I tend towards the latter. I need reasons for doing anything. But I'm obedient, more or less

To play devil's advocate for a moment - a lot of those so-called platitudes DO actually ring true, there's sometimes wisdom within. It's just the way they're phrased, and the way they're adopted unthinkingly by people (who often don't even take notice of them themselves!) that fucks me off.
And anyway, how DO you 'seize the day' exactly? I'm never quite sure. But I'm not going to hug the postman or jump out of a plane or anything like that

No, you've read me exaggerating passing feelings for comic (hopefully) effect.
And besides, what I can make out from the word salad of the OP, he wasn't asking about irritation, but stuff that makes you really, truly angry. Nothing anyone else does or says, especially the platitudinous claptrap the Sage of Donegal is highlighting, makes me truly angry. My feelings are my responsibility.

Not yet, It's good all things considered. My mother is in her 80's and still pretty sharp
Do you have a hard time explaining your exact job, or do you just give the name of the line of work? like "Aye i work in IT".
I have a straightforward job, but people can be pretty stupid. I just mention my job title.
In your prime, would you join the military if your country was in genuine danger of being attacked?
I'd defend myself by any means necessary. The country on the other hand --pfft.
When was the last time you got so angry, you/friends/family didn't recognize you because you go so angry?
My friends and family wouldn't recognize me if I wasn't angry about something.
Do you follow orders/directions like road closed, you can't walk down there, or you can't stand there you have to join the queue, or follow the herd in public settings, things like that. Or do you question it or scope out the situation and make your own decision?
I don't go out of my way to break the law.

If everybody had the same opinion, it would be boring.
